How to use two boxes of hair dye?

ELLO =D I'm going to dye my hair again pretty soon and i decided I'm using two boxes this time. The thing is im new to this whole hair dying thing so im alittle slow when it comes to dying. So what i want to know is do i use the two boxes at the same time or use one and then use the other one after? can someone explain?
