How can I find supplies to learn a traditional Japanese game I saw played?

I work at a children's museum and we recently had a wonderful Japanese storyteller--Hiroko Fujita--come and give a presentation. She played (what looked like) a very fun game with bamboo sticks aimed at improving hand-eye coordination (she said it was a game mostly girls played). If I recall correctly, it is called takegashi (?)...I would love to learn how to play this game, but lack the supplies (the bamboo sticks) and instructions...
