Why are American men so objective to alternate fashion, esp. swimwear?

LA Lakers (throwback jersey, jan.'08), US Olympic volleyball team? Check out, Miami Fash Week '08, or swimwear for men from Brazil, Italy and France by: D&G, Armani, Roberto Cavalli and Red Carter (high-end fashion, that i can't afford). Nevermind the ridiculous Will Ferrell movies, get some sun on your man-gams and trim, shave or wax if needed. As long as you're genuinely confident, women don't mind.
