What are the airsoft laws for the UK?

My friends and I would like to get into airsoft, and were wondering if the UK law prohibits us from buying the weapons in their normal colour. Do we have to get the guns painted in a hi viz colour, or are there any ways around the law, i.e, belonging to a club, or something?
