Does your sternum look flat? If it looks caved in a bit, or becomes caved in over time then that is Pectus Excavatum. I have that. It caused a lot of pain in my ribs for a while. It is a birth defect but can form at any growth spurt. I can't eat big meals either because my sternum is caved in, which pushes on my stomach a bit, or at least prevents it from expanding out to hold a lot of food. Sometimes I feel like I need to throw up cause I feel so full. Hope that helps a bit.
